Deev Thakrar's story begins on set.
At 18, he stepped into the film industry as an Assistant Director at Dharma Productions — learning the craft, the chaos, and the culture of creative spaces from the ground up. A brief detour into finance couldn't pull him far enough from his true calling, and in 2022, he channelled everything he'd absorbed into building RESA — a premium menswear brand rooted in Indian craftsmanship.
What followed was the journey of a builder. In 2024, he co-founded Auzaar, a boutique production house, alongside two close collaborators. In 2025, RESA expanded its footprint into manufacturing, investing in BRX — a B2B garment production company serving brands, corporates, and costume houses.
Then came 2026, and with it, Resa Studios.
Backed by his family and driven by a vision he's carried since his first day on a film set, Deev launched a space designed for creators — a place where ideas become images. For him, it's more than a studio. It's a full-circle moment: the 18-year-old who once stood behind the camera now owns the room it shoots in.
